Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Newport News, VA is seeking a Pre-Grad Intern to join our pharmacy team. You will gain hands-on experience in patient care, learn to assist with prescriptions, and promote health and wellness in the community.

You will protect patient confidentiality, handle inventory, and support customer service while following HIPAA guidelines. The role includes exposure to immunization delivery, and access to Walmart’s Live Better U education benefits and competitive PTO.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
• Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Excellent ability to foster relationships with customers and pharmacy team.
• Capability to cater to individual patient needs.
• Enthusiasm for participating in community activities, outreach, and events.
• Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Help with processing prescription and OTC orders and purchases.
• Deliver patient care by recognizing the patient, assessing their needs, and helping navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
