Job summary

Meijer is seeking team members for its distribution/Pharmacy support operations in Fort Wayne. You will unload shipments, verify paperwork, and prepare items for storage and shipping. The role involves reading screens, packing prescriptions, and ensuring accurate tote handling.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CRT/PC familiarity, and strong communication skills. Retail or warehouse experience is a plus. Expect a physically active job with safety accountability.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from truck, receive and store incoming supplies.
• Verify paperwork with received items from Distribution Center.
• Read computer generated screens to locate merchandise and verify size/strength before stocking.
• Process orders for shipping and ensure correct tote placement and close-out accuracy.
• Pack prescriptions and prepare for shipping.
• Sort orders by store location and place in totes for shipping.
• Separate products by lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the production area.
• Execute sorter activities and auto bagging.
• Prepare ice packs for use and load outbound pallets.

In compliance with policies and standard operating procedures. Performs automated pharmaceutical warehouse operations including receiving and appropriately storing product. Participating in packing prescriptions, and preparing products for shipping. Maintains a continuous, consistent work flow to meet daily production goals. Practices 200% Safety Accountability (self and others).

What You'll Be Doing

• Unloads product from truck, receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Verifies paperwork with received items from Distribution Center.
• Reads computer generated screens to find indicated merchandise on labeled shelves, verifies size and strength of the product before putting product away.
• Processes orders for shipping; ensures the right tote is on the right hub and close out of the tote is accurate.
• Packs prescriptions to prepare for shipping.
• Sorts orders by store location and places in totes for shipping.
• Separates product by lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Cleaning up of spills in the production area as needed.
• Execute sorter activities.
• Execute auto bagging.
• Prepare ice packs for use.
• Load outbound pallets of freight.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50+ pounds.
• Standard working hours consist of four 10.5-hour shifts, scheduled from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Operational days run from Sunday through Friday, closed on Saturdays.
