Job summary

PharMerica is hiring full-time Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians in Phoenix, AZ to support long-term care and senior living communities. You will enter and process medication orders, verifying information and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Working with pharmacists and operations teams, you’ll handle data entry, basic calculations, and claims follow-up while delivering excellent service and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Arizona Pharmacy Technician license or trainee status is required.
• PTCB certification pursued within 6 months of hire with company support.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders with high accuracy.
• Perform basic drug calculations and dosage conversions.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials and follow up in POS systems.
• Stay compliant with Medicaid regulations and processing rules.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims and generate management reports.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist pharmacists as needed.
• Support medication preparation and dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
