Job summary

Walgreens in Florida is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will register patients, enter prescription data, prepare medications, and assist with vaccines and health services where permitted. You will lead training and performance management for technicians and help maintain compliance with company policies and laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications for patients and verify information under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist with healthcare service offerings including vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law.
• Delegate non-clinical tasks within company policies to ensure efficient workflow.
• Support inventory management and annual inventory preparation.
• Maintain records and ensure security safeguards in the pharmacy.
