Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Operations Coordinator to support HUB Pharmacy operations in Omaha, NE. The role focuses on data analytics, revenue cycle, purchasing, contracting, licensing, and SOP development to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in healthcare/related field required.
  • Licensed and registered Pharmacy Technician in Nebraska within one year of hire.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support pharmacy operations through training, process development and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide data, analysis, and reporting to support decision making.
  • Monitor regulatory guidance and ensure compliance in purchasing, contracting and 340B operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and advise on SOPs and workflows; participate in audits and audit readiness.
  • Build relationships with pharmacy teams and organizational partners to drive operational efficiency.

Promote operational competency of pharmacy operations analysts through effective onboarding, ongoing education, and role modeling of best practices. Support compliance of regulatory, reporting, reconciliation, purchasing, and contracting requirements. Maintain, develop, and advise on SOPs, policies, and pharmacy workflows. Monitor and support regulatory guidance and support education activities. Conduct pharmacy operations audits and participate in external audits, including audit readiness and data management. Support pharmacy operations optimization and process enhancements. Advise on and support inventory management processes, including 340B program operations and related software processes. Provide in‑depth monitoring, reporting, and analysis using multiple pharmacy systems. Serve as project owner for short‑ and long‑term operational improvement initiatives. Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships across pharmacy, leadership, and organizational partners. Provide data, analysis, and reporting to support organizational and departmental decision making. Pursue continuous learning and identify opportunities to improve pharmacy operations and service delivery to patients.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health science, business, finance, or related healthcare field, or equivalent combination of education/experience (One year of experience equals one year of education) required.Licensed and registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Nebraska within one year of hire required.National Pharmacy Technician Certification within two years of hire required.Minimum of five years' pharmacy experience or relevant healthcare equivalent required.Minimum of one year working directly with pharmacy operations or pharmacy revenue cycle responsibilities required.Proven experience as a project owner required.Knowledge of multiple pharmacy area workflows required.Knowledge of the 340B program or training relative to the 340B program required.Healthcare experience, preferably in pharmacy operations or purchasing required.Experience with pharmacy systems and electronic medical record required.Proficient knowledge and ability to employ systems analysis and quality assurance concepts, techniques, industry best practices, tools and standard required.Quick learner and able to employ systems analysis and quality assurance concepts required.Strong communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills required.Able to work in a team setting and independently required.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel and related database systems experience required.Strengths in attention to detail, managing multiple projects and responsibilities, and applying learnings to complete tasks independently required.Ability to translate an understanding of computer system capabilities to address user process requirements required.Analytical skills necessary to apply expertise to problems and/or increase operational efficiency with systems required.Time management skills and accountability to routine work deadlines, long-term projects, and short-term asks required.Preferred Qualifications:Previous onboarding/training experience preferred.Leadership experience preferred.Master's degree in business administration or healthcare administration or advanced education in data analysis preferred.Knowledge of clinical, business, and/or operational healthcare hospital/clinic workflows preferred.Strong understanding of the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations preferred.Current 340B ACE (Apexus Certified Expert) preferred.Knowledge of advanced database systems such as SQL, Oracle, Access etc., and Cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, etc., preferred.Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
