Job Title: Compounding Pharmacist & Pharmacy Manager

Mixlab is a fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy. We are hiring a Compounding Pharmacist to serve as Pharmacy Manager for our New York compounding lab. We seek a detail-oriented leader driven by the ability to #makeithappen for our customers and their pets. You will be a key part in ensuring our NY operation runs smoothly and making Mixlab a dependable resource for customers and veterinarians.

This is a full-time, salaried position with a base pay range of $135,000 - $155,000 per year. Compensation is based on qualifications, licensure, experience, and skills.

Operational Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations, conduct stand-ups, delegate tasks, and manage staffing to meet goals
  • Monitor and improve performance by tracking metrics and driving innovation
  • Optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with teams to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure quality and compliance with USP standards and regulations
  • Prepare non-sterile pharmaceutical formulations accurately and safely
  • Communicate operational updates and foster a culture of transparency
  • Partner with leadership on process improvements and support projects
People Responsibilities
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of technicians, pharmacists, and leads
  • Conduct regular check-ins for goal setting and professional development
  • Facilitate training and skill-building activities
  • Handle scheduling, timekeeping, and administrative tasks
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years managing pharmacy staff
  • 3-5 years as a licensed pharmacist; compounding experience preferred
  • Customer-focused and pet-loving mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • NY-licensed pharmacist in good standing; additional licenses a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
  • Calm under pressure, adaptable, and proactive
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays; MUST LOVE PETS
