Job summary

Ideal candidates have a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, 5+ years hospital experience including leadership, and an active license. Expect collaboration with clinical pharmacists and supervision of support staff in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. or Pharm D. from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• 5+ years hospital pharmacy experience including leadership.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board.
• Sterile compounding and other state requirements may apply.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer; proficient with EMR and Office apps.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy department.
• Inventory management and staff oversight.
• Policy and procedure development for the pharmacy.
• Education within the pharmacy and mentoring of staff.
• Support and oversight of clinical pharmacists and supportive personnel.
• Assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.

• The pharmacy operations manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed.
• This includes inventory management, staff oversight, policy and procedure development,and education within the pharmacy.
• In addition, the operations manager should provide support, mentoring,and oversight of the activities of the clinical pharmacists and supportive personnel on staff.
• The operations manager shall also assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• 5+year's hospital pharmacy experience (inclusive of related leadership experience).
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements - i.e. sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office applications, Electronic Medical Record Systems.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year as a pharmacy operations specialist.
• Hospital Pharmacy Management experience.
• ALS/ACLS certification. #LI
