Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
• Experience with state and federal controlled substance laws.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy considerations.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications.
• Ensures pharmacy compliance with regulations and policies; oversees scheduling and shifts.
• Maintains pharmacy IT knowledge and supports staff with technology and productivity improvements.
• Manages insurance claims processing and resolves issues with payers.
