Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Inventory Technician to join our Central Fill – Pharmacy Packaging Dept. This full-time role offers $20.00/hour with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package. You will review, monitor, and maintain Central Fill inventory while mentoring new staff.

Shift: M-F 7 am - 3:30 pm; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and a quarterly bonus up to $2200. Team member discounts and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience required: 0 to 6 months.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or Licensing Required: Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Monitor Central Fill medications for ordering compliance.
• Process and sign CSOS orders.
• Maintain production rates and meet quality expectations.
• Train and mentor new team members.
• Perform duties of a central fill technician once training is completed and when assigned by Central Fill leadership.
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment to meet company and governmental requirements.
• Recognize, address and elevate system issues.
• Follow all company, state and federal policies, including HIPAA.
• Assist with Central Fill and Specialty Physical Inventory.
• Generate daily pharmacy inventory orders.
• Ensure order acknowledgement of all daily pharmacy orders.
• Receive and check in daily drug orders.
• Break down drug order and assign product to proper stock location.
• Rotate inventory stock for proper cycling.
• Process and file inventory paperwork and manifests.
• Check inventory shelves monthly to remove outdated product.
