Qualifications

• Clerical aptitude; ability to get along with others; physical condition appropriate for the job.

Responsibilities

• Fills supply orders under Pharmacist direction for hospital sections.
• Unpacks and stores pharmacy supplies; verifies items and refrigerates perishables like antibiotics.
• Checks invoices against orders to ensure correct items and charges.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment; prepares new supply orders.
• Maintains simple control records and generates reports as required.
• Computes cost of items from bulk supplies.
• Types labels for medications and records transactions in the pharmacy log.
• Keeps work area clean, cleans equipment, runs errands.
• Disposes of unused or outdated drugs and supplies as directed.
