Job summary

Walgreens in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to learn patient-centered care by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team with processing prescriptions and providing excellent service.

Under supervision, you will expand knowledge of pharmacy operations, reinforce policy and best practices, support inventory, and engage customers with care and professionalism, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and pharmacy team in processing prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients to ensure a positive experience and answer questions.
• Support inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and stocking of pharmaceuticals.
• Assist with dispensing under pharmacist supervision and follow state/federal/Company policies.
• Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and follow quality procedures.
• Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policy and company SOPs.
• Complete special assignments and support customer service initiatives.
