Job summary

CVS Health Corporation in Johnston, Rhode Island, is seeking a 3rd year pharmacy intern to join our pharmacy team under licensed supervision. You will support patient care, safety, and medication management while developing professional skills.

This part-time position offers benefits and opportunities to learn in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting, including potential immunization responsibilities and exposure to regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient safety and ensure accurate dispensing under supervision.
• Support pharmacy professional practice and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with quality assurance, inventory management, and workflow efficiency (excluding final prescription verification).
• Deliver excellent customer service and patient education.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain a safe and efficient pharmacy environment.
