OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Intern to gain hands-on experience under licensed pharmacists. Must be enrolled in pharmacy school and hold an intern license; schedule varies, with weekend work when school is in session and potential full-time during breaks.
Under supervision, you will learn to obtain, prepare, and label products; review orders; assist with billing, inventory, and information sharing with healthcare professionals and customers.
***This is a part-time casual, variable shift position at Riverside Methodist Hospital. MUST BE ENROLLED IN PHARMACY SCHOOL AND HAVE AN INTERN LICENSE! When school is in session, the expectation is to work every other weekend. When on break, full-time (or close to) is expected***
Under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, performs any or all of the functions of the department as assigned according to established procedure. Based on ability, experience, and performance, performs the increasingly judgmental activities of a pharmacist pursuant to State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Under supervision, gains the practical experience necessary to function competently and effectively upon licensure.
Interns must be actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist through completion of academic and/or post‑graduate experience requirements. These qualifications can be met by active enrollment in a College of Pharmacy, or for international pharmacy graduates, satisfactorily passed the FPGEE and the TSE or TOEFL‑ibt (these are completed through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy [NABP]). All interns must have an active intern license prior to employment.
