Job summary

Salem Health is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists in safe and efficient patient care delivery. Under pharmacist supervision, you will review patient records, perform clinical interventions, and assist with medication management in a hospital setting.

You will work with the inpatient and outpatient teams, participate in medication reconciliation, and help ensure accurate dispensing with Omnicell. Strong communication and critical thinking are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Ability to think critically and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records and orders, perform clinical interventions as defined by protocol, consult with staff on medication use.
• Organize and prioritize workload, assist in training staff, stay up-to-date with procedures.
• Perform medication reconciliation and enter patient information into Epic; coordinate with physicians and community pharmacies.
