Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients regarding usage of medications, side effects, interactions, and alternatives.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and policies; assists in establishing efficient workflows and opening/closing duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems to support customers and staff; proposes enhancements to improve productivity.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with providers and insurers.
