Job summary

Walgreens Co. in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in providing excellent patient care while adhering to state and federal regulations.

You will learn to use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and to process prescriptions, while modeling a distinctive customer experience. Under supervision, you will participate in patient counseling and health services, support inventory management, and help with daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a positive customer experience by greeting customers and answering questions.
• Under pharmacist supervision, assist in pharmacy tasks and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Support inventory management, cash handling, and store operations as directed by pharmacy leadership.
• Participate in patient counseling and health services within the scope of practice for pharmacy interns.
