Job summary

Quality RX in Carmel, Indiana is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our closed-door operation serving county facilities. You will work with pharmacy staff and county partners to dispense medications accurately and compliantly.

The role requires Indiana licensure, experience in a closed-door/institutional pharmacy, and strong attention to regulatory details. Standard hours are 8 AM–4 PM, Monday to Friday, in-person with competitive pay and benefits.

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, therapy, and interactions
• Maintain records for controlled substances and inventory

• Supervise technicians and ensure accurate work
• Comply with laws, court orders, and facility policies

Registered Pharmacist Position Summary:

• The Registered Pharmacist must work with pharmacy staff, Quality Correctional Care staff, and county staff to provide medications to inmates and facilities. Registered Pharmacist Mandatory Functions: Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
• Comply with court orders, medical department rules and the policies and procedures of Quality Rx.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate therapy, and interactions and communicate any discrepancies to providers quickly to prevent any disruption of care to patients Accurately and efficiently process, package, and dispense prescriptions Maintains records for controlled substances and removes outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
• Closely manage inventory in a cost-effective manner Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensures work is accurate Recommend improved procedures, equipment, and supplies to Supervisor.
• Participate in periodic drug utilization reviews of facilities.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Present/participate in in-service education sessions.
• Maintain professional attitude at all times.
• Any and all duties as assigned.

Registered Pharmacist Education, experience, and skills required:

• The Registered Pharmacist must be licensed in the state of Indiana Graduate degree from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) Experience working in a closed door/institutional pharmacy required Experience with FrameWork helpful, but not required Registered Pharmacist Work Location: In person - Carmel, Indiana Pharmacy Hours: 8AM-4PM, M-F - Option for Part-time, or PRN QRX Benefits: Competitive compensation packages Paid time off
