Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Intern for the Acute Care unit at Olathe Hospital. Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Pharmacy intern registration in KS and/or MO.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in Kansas.
• Assists with medication order filling, compounding, and record keeping.
• Operates computer systems to input orders and retrieve patient information.
• Interacts with customers professionally and directs concerns to pharmacy staff.
• Assists in maintaining inventory and ensures timely distribution to units.
• Supports quality improvement efforts and participates in team development.
• Engages in professional development and competency validation activities.
• Participates in the Quality Management Program and related projects as applicable.
• Upholds Patient Management and related program quality standards as applicable.
• Performs any other duties as required by department.
