Position Summary

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient—including patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management (excluding final prescription verification).
  2. Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
  3. Seek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes.
  4. Align others around our purpose to bring heart to every patient interaction and gain support and commitment.
  5. Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
Education
  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
Required Qualifications
  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
  • 0‑3 years relevant work experience.
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe.
  • Ability to:
    • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
    • Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time.
    • Lift, scan, and bag items.
    • Have finger dexterity, repeatedly pick, pinch, and type using fingers.
    • Reach overhead; be able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items.
    • Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items.
    • Maintain precision control, adjusting machines to exact positions.
    • Stoop to a considerable degree and require full use of lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, bending spine at the waist.
    • Have close visual acuity for activities such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts.
    • Orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers.
    • Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs; exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Additional Required Abilities
  • Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager.
  • Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Immunization eligibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $18.75 – $42.00.
