PharMerica in Missouri is seeking an engaged pharmacy student to assist pharmacists with prescription filling, IV preparation, and data entry under supervision. You will support prepackaging, final checks, and timely delivery of medications to customers.

The role includes helping with inventory, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This is a non-retail/closed-door environment with growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in a Pharmacy program.
• Ability to use a computer.

Responsabilidades

• Fills prescriptions and prepares IVs under supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Enter data into the computer system with Billing Supervisor to fill prescriptions and obtain reimbursement.
• Prepackaging medication for dispensing under Pharmacist supervision and for RPh final review.
• Assist in final checking and packaging of medications and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Maintain inventory practices: receiving, rotating medications, posting lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Support a clean, safe work environment and verify equipment calibration and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IV's
• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations
• Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer
• Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory
• Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety and cleanliness

Qualifications

• Required: Currently enrolled in Pharmacy school
• Required: Ability to use a computer
• Required: Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, oral communication
• Licenses/Certifications: As required by state and federal law.
