Works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care services, while considering patient specific factors, through the prioritization and processing of medication orders, the preparing of medications for dispensing, distribution and stocking of patient care locations for subsequent drug administration. Performs data collections, assembly and interpretation for limited quality programs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Previous experience in setting involving medication distribution. Experience with automated pharmacy equipment. Previous hospital experience.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience as required by the position. Advanced degree in related field
Technician training program/academy.
Computer skills, typing skills, calculation skills, communication skills.
CPHT. State Board of Pharmacy registration required in the state where work is performed, in accordance with the state's rules and regulations.
