Job summary

Synchrony Pharmacy in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with measuring, labeling and recording medications under the direction of a Pharmacist.

Key duties include prepacks, labeling, answering calls, managing inventories, maintaining patient profiles and ensuring accurate medication storage. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, state registration, and MS Office skills. Travel may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician as required by State regulatory requirements.
• One year of pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.
• Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Responsibilities

• Receives written prescription or refill requests, ensures information is complete and accurate.
• Prepacks for the floor bulk medications, fills bottles and attaches labels.
• Answers phones and directs inquiries to appropriate departments.
• Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
• Maintains patient profiles and inventories, enters data into pharmacy systems.
• Stores incoming supplies and verifies quantities against invoices.
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations according to prescriptions.
• Assists with special projects and supports location and company goals.
• Minimal travel including overnight stay as necessary.
