Polaris Pharmacy Services of North Carolina is seeking a Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions, label, scan, and finalize orders for pharmacist verification, while maintaining a well-organized, compliant workspace.

Night and overnight shifts are available. You will assist in processing daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision, support packaging, and ensure HIPAA/regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
Previous pharmacy experience preferred (long-term care experience preferred).

Responsibilities

Pull medications from shelving and prep racks for prescriptions.
Accurately check final preparation before pharmacist verification.
Fill daily drug orders promptly under pharmacist supervision.
Assist in processing returned drugs and recycl e/dispose per procedure.
Pre-pack frequently ordered medications and label stock during low-volume times.
Package materials and products manually.
Follow HIPAA and all government regulations.
Keep workstation clean and stocked for each shift.
Notify pharmacist of any scanning issues with products.
Adhere to safety, attendance, and dress code policies.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including the careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation of prescriptions for the pharmacist's verification. Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities

Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks)
Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist
Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times
Package materials and products manually
Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift
Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY

Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
