Job description

Summary

In this role, you will support the preparation, weighing, dispensing, and documentation of raw materials used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products, ensuring full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense raw materials and components for production according to batch manufacturing records and SOPs.
  • Accurately weigh and label materials in a controlled, clean room or dispensary environment.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels of pharmaceutical raw materials.
  • Ensure materials are stored correctly in line with regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the dispensary and materials handling areas.
  • Ensure all dispensing activities are recorded and traceable to meet GMP and audit requirements.
  • Participate in audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
  • Adhere strictly to Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Support cross-functional teams in production, warehouse, and quality departments as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Periodically push/pull containers weighing up to 500 pounds and lift containers up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in pharmacy, science, or healthcare is advantageous.
  • Previous 1-3 years' experience in pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • Able to read, write and speak English fluently, Excellent writing and math skills required.
  • Experience in a GMP-regulated environment (pharmaceutical, or similar) preferred.
  • Knowledge of dispensing procedures, weighing techniques, and material handling practices.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing documentation and regulatory compliance (e.g. GMP, GDP).
  • Ability to follow SOPs precisely and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems or similar).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a highly regulated environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work is carried out in controlled areas including dispensaries and cleanrooms.
  • May involve wearing PPE such as gowns, gloves, face masks, and hairnets.
  • Physical requirements include standing for long periods, lifting containers, and precise handling of materials.
  • Shift work may be required, depending on production schedules.
