Job summary

Walgreens seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in a busy retail setting in Illinois. You will assist with prescriptions, medication data entry, and customer service at the register, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Under supervision, you will use pharmacy systems, fill prescriptions, check for interactions, and help manage inventory while delivering a friendly, efficient shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Possess six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience is preferred.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers to ensure a positive experience.
• Assist pharmacists under supervision with dispensing and patient information entry.
• Process prescriptions, check for interactions and accuracy, and support workflow.
• Handle cashier duties, operate the POS, and help with stock and merchandising.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organize displays, and support inventory control.
• Adhere to company policies and pharmacy code of conduct.
