Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefers six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefers prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefers good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefers basic computer skills and store inventory knowledge.
• Prefers PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales and provides courteous, fair, friendly checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist under supervision and uses pharmacy systems to process prescriptions.
• Engages customers and patients to ensure a positive experience and answers questions.
• Keeps counters clean, stocks shelves, and assists with inventory and pricing.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager such as facilitating workflow and handling medication.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to policies including Good Faith Dispensing.
• Handles calls not requiring pharmacist attention and processes third-party claims.
• Supports Pharmacy Department on inventory, ordering, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
