Job summary

Walgreens in Asheville, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists, process prescriptions, and provide excellent customer service at the register and throughout the store.

You will use pharmacy systems to enter patient data, verify medications, and support workflow while maintaining accuracy and compliance with regulations. Prior retail experience and PTCB certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English (except Puerto Rico).
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and medication labeling.
• Provide courteous, efficient checkout and customer assistance.
• Maintain inventory, restock shelves, and keep counters clean and merchandised.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Support pharmacy workflow and report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
