Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking staff to deliver a distinctive customer experience and support pharmacy operations at the point of sale. You will engage customers, greet and assist with products, and perform checkout duties with courtesy and efficiency.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will help process prescriptions, handle pharmacy-related tasks, assist with inventory and store maintenance, and support daily operations to ensure accuracy and quality in service.

Qualifications

• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated program or state requirements.
• Attends training and completes requested continuing education credits.
• Maintains knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy developments.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Recommends items for sale and assists customers in locating products.
• Fills prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs under supervision.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to company policies.
• Handles telephone calls not requiring the pharmacist's personal attention.
• Performs clerical duties and processes (corrects and resubmits) manual third‑party claims.
