Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist, process prescriptions, and deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will operate the register, help customers locate items, and support pharmacy operations, including inventory and claim processing. Training includes PTCB certification and ongoing education to stay current with healthcare updates.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.
• Good math skills for filling prescriptions (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Good computer skills preferred.
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers sales on the assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and uses pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintains counters and shelves, prices merchandise, and assists in inventory management.
• Handles telephone inquiries not requiring pharmacist attention and processes third-party prescription claims.
• Assists with pharmacy inventory management, stocking, and risk management; supports policy compliance and quality improvement.
• Provides customer service in the photo area and web-pickup responsibilities as needed.
• Participates in training and earns PTCB certification as required.
