Willis Towers Watson seeks a Pharmacy Consultant, Manager to lead client engagements on pharmacy benefits, plan design, and cost-saving strategies.

You will collaborate with experienced consultants to influence customer decisions, mentor junior staff, and contribute to intellectual capital while managing cross-functional projects. A pharmacist is preferred but not required, licensure within your home state and willingness to travel are needed.

Qualificações

  • 8+ years’ experience in clinical strategy, PBM, analytics, growth and consulting
  • Deep understanding of the PBM and US healthcare ecosystems
  • PBM account executive experience preferred
  • Dynamic, strategic thinker who challenges the status quo
  • Ability to turn ambiguity into clarity and action in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about patient outcomes and client relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in training/mentoring junior staff
  • MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Licensed pharmacist in home state or eligible; state Life and Health license within 90 days

Description
The Role:

Willis Towers Watson is looking for an energetic individual with growth, pharmacy, clinical and client facing expertise to join our growing team. As a Pharmacy Consultant, Manager you will be at the forefront of managing pharmacy benefits projects for clients and leverage your experience as a pharmacy benefits expert to make recommendations on plan design and management. You will participate in new business activities and the creation of new intellectual capital. You will position yourself to grow into a senior relationship management and/or leadership role by serving as the subject matter expert on pharmacy projects and working alongside industry experts on cutting edge solutions. The ideal candidate is a patient-centric problem solver who possesses the ability to balance client clinical needs and business growth. You will collaborate with a strong team of highly experienced consultants within the practice as well as engage in cross-functional activities. A pharmacist is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead client Pharmacy engagements for a portfolio of Small to Medium clients and/or significantly contributes to large clients in support of:

  • Pharmacy benefit plan analysis, design, clinical and cost savings strategies

  • Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) vendor procurement, negotiation, and implementation

  • Audits of PBM performance (financial and operational)

  • Strategy for Specialty pharmacy products

  • Support clients in navigating pharmacy concepts, strategies and results that effectively drive action and improve plan performance, by preparing teams for meetings or directly presenting in meetings

  • Has advanced experience across all Pharmacy activities and demonstrates knowledge of emerging trends and best practices

  • Understand client needs and preferences; anticipate questions in advance and identify solutions

  • Influence key client decision makers by soliciting their perspectives and addressing their stated needs

  • Leverage advanced knowledge of industry trends, available products/solutions and carrier/vendor differentiators to inform and influence client Pharmacy strategies

  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with employer and vendor primary contacts to build and enhance WTW and Health & Benefit’s brand

  • Provides leadership to more junior colleagues on pharmacy concepts, strategies and tools

  • Conduct final quality reviews for all types of Pharmacy deliverables

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams

  • Actively support new business and prospecting activities

  • Contribute to intellectual capital development

  • Contribute pharmacy and other related perspectives to the broader health and benefits strategy and growth

Qualifications
The Requirements:
  • 8+ years’ experience in clinical strategy, pharmacy benefit management, analytics, growth and consulting

  • Deep understanding of the pharmacy benefit management and US healthcare ecosystems, either at a PBM, health plan, health tech company or as a benefits consultant

  • PBM account executive experience strongly preferred

  • A dynamic, strategic thinker not afraid to challenge the status quo by asking the hard questions

  • Able to change ambiguity into clarity, action and outcomes in a high paced environment that requires the ability to multitask and prioritize.

  • Passionate about patient outcomes, client relationships and working with cross functional teams

  • Engaging speaking skills with an ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively; ability to speak credibly about clinical, technical, financial aspects of Willis Towers Watson’s offerings

  • Experience in training/mentoring junior staff

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s and/or PharmD degree preferred

  • For pharmacists; actively licensed in home state and in good standing

  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining

This position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $90,000-$140,000 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus
