Job summary

RedSail Technologies is hiring a Pharmacy Consultant, Clinical Services to build relationships with customers and professional bodies, delivering consultation, coaching, training, and education to drive adoption and positive patient outcomes.

The role reports to the Director of Clinical & Technical Services and collaborates with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product Development, and Training teams. Travel is required across locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Minimum of two years of applicable experience.
• Experience in both community/retail and long-term care pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in national and regional meetings of professional and industry pharmacy organizations, communicating relevant issues to RedSail Technologies team.
• Serve as a liaison and point of contact for pharmacy organizations and industry meetings.
• Serve as a pharmacy and clinical services expert and articulate the company’s solutions, services, and program offerings to customers.
• Provide knowledge on pharmacy industry best practices, workflows, and service offerings.
• Provide demonstrations of solutions and workflow processes to customers and industry stakeholders.
• Provide RedSail’s software and product development teams with clinical input into development and enhancement of features.
• Support continuous improvement efforts for both customers and internal teams.
• Lead customer coaching and consultative clinical calls.
• Provide mentoring and leadership for pharmacy-related interns and residency programs.
• Assist with training and development, both internally and externally.

Job description

The Pharmacy Consultant, Clinical Services, is responsible for building and maintaining relationships internally and externally with customers, industry groups, and professional organizations. In addition, the Pharmacy Consultant provides consultation, coaching, training, and education to customers participating in clinical program execution, helping to drive adoption, utilization, success, and positive outcomes for their patients and pharmacies. The Pharmacy Consultant will report to the Director of Clinical & Technical Services and work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product Development, and Training.

Key Duties

• Actively participate in national and regional meetings of professional and industry pharmacy organizations, communicating relevant issues, trends, and the future direction of the profession to appropriate members of the RedSail Technologies team.
• Serve as a liaison and point of contact for pharmacy organizations and industry meetings.
• Serve as a pharmacy and clinical services expert and articulate the company’s solutions, services, and program offerings to customers.
• Provide knowledge and expertise on pharmacy industry best practices, workflows, and service offerings.
• Provide demonstrations of solutions and workflow processes to customers and industry stakeholders.
• Provide RedSail’s software and product development teams with clinical input into the development and enhancement of features and functionality.
• Support continuous improvement efforts for both customers and internal teams.
• Lead customer coaching and consultative clinical calls.
• Provide mentoring and leadership for pharmacy-related interns and residency programs.
• Assist with training and development, both internally and externally.
• Identify opportunities for workflow and software utilization improvements and provide insights to customers.
• Serve as a source of industry and professional information and offer guidance, as requested, to the executive committee, product management teams, Sales, Account Management, and other internal teams.
• Serve as a communication resource when a peer-to-peer relationship is critical to customers.
• Maintain open communication regarding industry issues, news, and trends with peers across RedSail Technologies business units.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Sales departments to ensure appropriate communication with RedSail Technologies customers.
• Attend and participate in relevant industry events and conferences to provide sales support, identify market trends, and engage with existing customers.
• Serve as a clinical information resource, as applicable.

Education/Training

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacist license in good standing.

• Advanced understanding of pharmacy business practices and ancillary business opportunities.
• Experience working with PioneerRx, BestRx, PrimeRx, and/or QS/1 software platforms.
• Intermediate knowledge of opportunities for engagement with pharmaceutical manufacturers as they relate to RedSail pharmacies.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and General Employment Guidelines

• High levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job.
• The position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace. Physical work may include, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Travel is required.

• Moderate telephone usage while working with customers, prospects, and consultants.
• If new to RedSail, must develop a sound working knowledge of PioneerRx, BestRx, PrimeRx, and QS/1’s principal healthcare products, Network Services Program offerings, and major services within six months.

Compensation & Total Rewards

• The anticipated base salary range for this position is $135,000 -140,000 annually. This position is also eligible for participation in a company incentive program.
