University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Compounding and Compliance Coordinator at the Southlake Campus to lead nonsterile compounding oversight, formulary review, and regulatory compliance to support safe, high‑quality patient care.
You will collaborate with clinicians, educate staff, develop policies, monitor quality metrics, and ensure adherence to Board of Pharmacy, FDA, USP and DEA standards while advancing departmental efficiency and professional growth.

The Pharmacist Coordinator provides comprehensive, collaborative pharmaceutical care to ensure the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of medications while optimizing patient outcomes. This role requires excellent interdisciplinary communication and strong educational and precepting skills, serving as a resource for healthcare professionals through the development and delivery of education, clinical guidelines, and operational processes. Responsibilities include analyzing clinical and operational data to support evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and increasing operational efficiency. In addition, this position will help to improve overall compliance within the department by implementing and maintaining governing processes such as oversight of policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to Board of Pharmacy, FDA, USP, DEA and other regulatory bodies by review and development of systems and processes. The position must demonstrate advanced knowledge of Nonsterile Compounding department operations, including building and maintaining Medication Formulary Requests (MFRs), formulary oversight and review, serving as the Designated Person, developing policies and procedures, conducting staff training, and ensuring regulatory compliance to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality pharmacy operations. A minimum staffing component of eight hours per month, with flexibility based on department needs, will be required.
