Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a customer-focused team member in Fresno, CA. You will greet customers, assist with products and services, and provide courteous, efficient checkout service at the cash register.

You will help maintain clean, well-merchandised stores and support throughout daily operations. Responsibilities include processing sales, assisting customers to locate items, handling returns, and supporting inventory and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.

Responsibilities

• Registers customer purchases on the assigned cash register and handles returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion items; assists with OTC products when applicable.
• Operates store systems to obtain patient prescription status and communicates issues to the pharmacist on duty.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean, merchandised, and stocked; assists with inventory and price labelling as directed.
• Implements asset protection procedures to minimize loss and maintain store security.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Constructs and maintains displays and completes resets as directed by management.
• Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment; supports maintenance of store appearance.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
