Job summary

Sterling Pharmacy in Caledonia, MN, part of Astrup Companies, is seeking a Part-time Pharmacy Cashier. The role supports daily customer service, reports to the manager on duty, and helps with pharmacy operations while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Hours are Monday–Friday with occasional weekend shifts; wage is competitive and includes a 401(k) with company match and a profit-sharing bonus program. Prior pharmacy experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Answer telephone within three rings.
• Create a culture of positivity and excitement within the work environment.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Understand customers’ needs are the #1 priority.
• Complete cash transactions accurately and according to company procedures.
• Assist pharmacy staff with checking orders and invoices, marking and putting away merchandise.
• Assist customers with locating items on the sale floor.
• Answer customer questions or direct them to the proper person.
• Assist or place filled prescriptions in the proper location.
• Clean shelves and inventory neatly.
• Assist in checking inventory for out-of-date product.
• Assist in daily deliveries preparation.
• Answer phones and forward calls to proper individuals.
• Assist in pharmacy workflow if required by pharmacy staff.
• Assist and receive new prescriptions from patients.
• Work the drive-up window as needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA compliance policies.
• Participate in weekly/daily touchpoint meetings and follow through on discussions.
• Engage with customers on marketing material instructed by corporate.
• Perform assigned duties requested by Pharmacy Manager or Store Manager.
