Responsibilities and Essential Duties
  • Interact with patients and customers in a professional way, greeting each customer and providing polite and friendly service.
  • Performs basic administrative duties within the pharmacy, including answering phone calls and collecting payment.
  • Give orders to customers.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding availability and payment for their prescriptions.
  • Attend and participate in department meetings to exchange ideas in order to achieve the goals of the department.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Maintain competency in caring for patients of all age groups and developmental stages.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Safeguard patient data by maintaining HIPAA compliance and disposing of protected health information properly.
  • If unfamiliar with pharmacy procedure or best practice, notify the pharmacist on duty and request training.

  • Answer and refer telephone calls or other inquires to ensure accurate and timely communications.

  • Take the initiative to do or redo inadequate or incomplete work, even if it is not yours.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures and the ability to reference them from appropriate books and manuals.
  • Comply with CCWV's infection control policies and procedures, including the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
  • Maintain password security: Keep your login information and passwords private. Do not share this information with patients or coworkers. If you suspect that your login or password is not secure, notify the pharmacist on duty and change the password immediately.

Qualifications
  • Physical Demands/Work Environment: Reasonable accommodations may be made.
