Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Maine, part of the Guardian family, seeks a Pharmacy Technician - Billing Specialist to join our Brunswick team. On-site role with responsibilities in processing bills, insurance claims, and daily/month-end billing procedures for a facility-based client population.

You will provide customer service to patients, caregivers, and providers while ensuring accurate data entry and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Pharmacy Tech license/certification per state requirements; National Certification preferred (PTCB) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Process patient bills and insurance claims accurately and timely.
• Assist with daily and month-end billing functions and reporting.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, caregivers, medical providers and insurance carriers.
• Enter patient/insurance information into billing system and maintain files.
• Research and resolve patient billing issues related to eligibility and coverage.
• Conduct Medicare open enrollment related cost/coverage comparisons and assist residents.
