Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and coordination of prescriptions with internal pharmacies. You will document results in the patient record and communicate with providers and patients to resolve insurance decisions and dispensing details.

The role requires MA Board of Pharmacy licensure, at least one year of related experience, and the ability to work in a hybrid or remote environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work in a hybrid or remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform benefit investigation tasks such as running test claims and submitting prior authorizations.
• Document results in patient EMR and communicate with providers and patients.
• Submit prior authorizations to insurance and follow up as needed.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate prescription delivery with Home Delivery pharmacy.
• Support quality improvement initiatives within the department.
