Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks a Pharmacy Specialist to provide oversight for appropriate drug use within its health system. You will collaborate with medical and administrative leadership, and with primary care providers, to develop strategies that improve patient care quality and value.

You will review therapy, mentor pharmacists, work with utilization data to improve drug utilization, identify waste reduction opportunities, and support implementation of pharmacoeconomic and data-driven

Qualifications

Licensed pharmacist in Michigan with Pharm.D. and PGY1 residency.
Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lead work groups and work with relational databases.
Knowledge of pharmacoeconomics and biostatistics.
Preferred: pharmacogenomics experience and health-system exposure.

Responsibilities

Review patient drug therapy and suggest modifications to optimize care.
Interview patients and families to monitor drug therapy responses.
Work with utilization management reports and corporate data to improve drug utilization.
Identify opportunities to streamline patient care and reduce waste.
Guide the development of other pharmacists on the healthcare team.
