Job summary

Little Colorado Medical Center in Winslow, AZ seeks a Pharmacist to interpret physician prescriptions and medication orders, and to serve as a drug information resource for patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary personnel. You will compound and dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care by performing the related duties.

The role requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, hospital pharmacy experience, and current Arizona licensure with BLS/CPR

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy degree preferred or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Education in all age groups from newborn to geriatric.

Description

The Pharmacist interprets physician prescriptions and medication orders.

They should also act as a drug information resource to patients, medical

staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel. Compounds and

dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient

care by performing the related duties.

Education

• Doctorate of Pharmacy degree preferred or Bachelor of Science degree

in Pharmacy.

• Graduate from accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric

population obtained either in school education, experience or

subsequent training.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or equivalent.
• One year ASHP accredited hospital pharmacy residency or equivalent

preferred.

• Management training or equivalent managerial experience preferred.
