Qualifications

• Minimum one year of hospital pharmacist experience.
• Sterile compounding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders.
• Perform and oversee sterile compounding in compliance with USP standards.
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations.
• Review medication profiles for safety, allergies, interactions, dosing and compatibility.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Maintain cleanroom, aseptic technique and environmental monitoring standards.
• Participate in quality assurance, medication safety audits and continuous improvement.
• Maintain compounding, batch, quality and regulatory documentation.
• Assist with inventory management, controlled substances and pharmacy operations.
• Support development of pharmacy policies, procedures and staff training.
• Participate in staff meetings.
• Adhere to OSHA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy regulations and safety PPE.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting, verifying, and processing physician medication orders, performing and overseeing sterile compounding, and conducting final verification of compounded sterile preparations. This position requires strong collaboration with healthcare professionals and the supervision of pharmacy technicians and support staff. Additionally, the candidate will participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a compounding pharmacy team of 2-3 people, including a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and a Compounding Technician. The role involves working during the first shift in a compounding setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Alachua, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $200000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
