Responsibilities

• Dispenses medications and provides pharmaceutical care upon receiving physician orders, following standard procedures and under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Performs all duties necessary for the effective daily operation of departmental services and programs.
• Supervises support personnel in all assigned work areas.
• Participates in training pharmacy students, technicians, and other allied professionals.
• Oversees and performs the total prescription‑filling process, including data entry, inventory management, patient counseling, counting, labeling, filing, and billing of prescribed products.
• Coordinates prescription delivery as necessary.
• Coordinates care with a multi‑disciplinary team directly with patients and caregivers.
• Works with other team members and outside entities (insurance companies, PBMs, manufacturers) to obtain and verify patient financial responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum level of education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (Doctorate or Bachelor degree in Pharmacy).
• Must be licensed by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of job‑related experience.
• Posses good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to read and write printed material in English.
• Posses ability to work well with other health‑care workers and perform as a team member.
• Must be customer‑service minded.
