The Clinical Staff Pharmacist performs medication order evaluation and verification, drug distribution, sterile and extemporaneous compounding, technical supervision, and clinical services.Major job responsibilities include: medication order evaluation (to include but not limited to appropriateness and effectiveness) and verification, drug distribution support, technician supervision, clinical intervention, formulary management, and resource for nursing and physician medication related inquiries.The position requires the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals from all clinical disciplines regarding activities related to the improvement of medication use. Ensures that all activities are consistent with overall hospital objectives.
