Job summary

Meijer in Appleton, WI is seeking a licensed pharmacist to serve our store community by ensuring patients receive medications and care they need. You will provide patient consultation, immunizations, and collaborate with the team to educate and mentor pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Pharmacist license in Wisconsin.
• Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree required.
• Immunization certification required.
• Experience in retail/community pharmacy preferred.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at a high level.
• Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
• Be an effective communicator and agent of change.
• Organize workload efficiently and prioritize tasks.
• Listen to patients and resolve needs with excellent service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a licensed pharmacist in the state of Wisconsin, you will serve our Appleton, WI store community by ensuring patients receive the medication and care they need. You will practice pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education, including patient consultation and immunizations. You will mentor, train, and guide pharmacy technicians.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications)

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Experience in Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in the state.
