Job summary

Walgreens in the Kansas City area is seeking a skilled pharmacist to provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting to patients. You will educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options, and deliver immunizations and medication therapy management.

You will ensure medication safety through accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance, mentor pharmacy team members, and help navigate insurance claims.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Active pharmacist licensure in states within the district.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Basic Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance.
• We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Salary

Pharmacist - $60.90/hr - $82.30/hr. The actual hourly salary within this range will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
