Job summary

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is seeking a Pharmacy Services Pharmacist for the Retail setting. The role oversees procurement, charging, storage, preparation, and dispensing of medications and supervises campus pharmacy operations for both customers and physicians.

This full-time position (32 hrs/week) emphasizes customer service, inventory control, records management, and coordination with hospital and outpatient services. A PharmD/BS and SD license are required.

Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
• South Dakota Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• Valid South Dakota driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepares new and refill prescriptions.
• Orders, and, restocks medications, including Rx and OTC, and assists in maintaining records for wholesalers and GPOs.
• Responsible for customer service and satisfaction.
• Assists customers in identifying appropriate items and processes charges.
• Oversees day-to-day staffing and schedule coordination with the hospital pharmacy, supervising all technicians.
• Maintains computer records for prescription drug files and customer information.
• Processes and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Maintains proper inventory.
• Maintains legally required records.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Position Summary

This full-time(0.8 status or 32hrs per week) position performs activities involved in the procurement, charging, storage, preparation, and dispensing of medications. Supervises the daily operations of the Prairie Lakes Campus Pharmacy, providing services to customers and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Orders, and, restocks medications, including Rx and over-the-counter (OTC), and assists in the maintenance of appropriate records for wholesaler and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO).
• Responsible for customer service and satisfaction.
• Assists customers in identifying appropriate items and process charges.
• Oversees day-to-day staffing and schedule coordination with the hospital pharmacy, including directly supervising all technicians.
• Maintains computer records for prescription drug files and customer information
• Processes and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Maintains proper inventory.
• Maintains legally required records.
• Other duties may be assigned.
