Priority Dispatch Corp. in Shenandoah, PA is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacist to plan and coordinate pharmacy and DMEPOS operations, manage costs, and ensure patient-safe, courteous service.

JOB SUMMARY

To Plan, coordinate and manage pharmacy and DMEPOS operations so as to control costs, maintain projected profit margins, meet and/or exceed sales goals, provide a pleasant, courteous experience for the patient and positive working conditions for workforce members. To make, mix and compound prescriptions for the patient and give consultations when requested.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • 1) Plans department performance to comply with company guidelines.
  • 2) Review department planning, business plan, reports and scopes of service to achieve.
  • 3) Controls and evaluates pharmacy performance to achieve continued growth and financial stability
  • 4) Ensures pharmacy standards are met so as to reinforce facility acceptance, which is reflected in retention of facilities.
  • 5) Needs to perform all aspects of the sales process, be familiar with and able to fully explain the medication dispensing systems utilized by the pharmacy; provide on-site facility staff training
  • 6) Implements and supervises an inventory control system.
  • 7) Follows or adjusts merchandising in accordance with the inventory control system.
  • 8) Monitors returns and outdates closely
  • 9) Performs or monitors competitive pricing
  • 10) Makes price adjustments after monthly gross margins are assessed
  • 11) Monitors and adjusts department buying and ordering for inventory control, inventory turns and operational efficiency
  • 12) Oversee and be familiar with the billing of resident and facility accounts.
  • 13) Develops and maintains plans for continued growth and development, making adjustments quarterly, as needed.
  • 14) Continually assesses department scheduling and adjusts based on facility filling needs and delivery schedules
  • 15) Monitors and controls overtime.
  • 16) Assesses department so that organization, work discipline and morale is consistent with pharmacy standards.
  • 17) Reviews all expenses and implements changes for improved cash flow management.
  • 18) Ensures safe conditions are maintained.
  • 19) Provides and monitors safety training.
  • 20) Monitors safety reports and makes adjustments to improve safety record.
  • 21) Directs or performs all department personnel functions in compliance with company guidelines.
  • 22) Provides opportunities for workforce member development and advancement.
  • 23) Sets an example of personal integrity, appearance and ethical business practices which provides a standard of conduct for all department personnel.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • 1) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • 2) Pharmacist in good standing, maintaining current state professional licensure.
  • 3) Preent a professional stature.
  • 4) Courteous with patients and staff
  • 5) Familiarity with pharmacy- related software, in addition to any other software programs
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Ability to travel to all RX locations to cover vacations, complete all MTM’s, and medication adherence tasks for patients across all locations.
