JobRx, Inc. in Linden, Tennessee, is seeking a PRN Staff Pharmacist to ensure efficient operations and patient care within the hospital. This role involves providing medications, assisting with pharmacy projects, and educating patients about their medications.
A graduate from an accredited pharmacy school and a current Tennessee Pharmacy License are mandatory. Candidates must possess at least one year of hospital experience, with preferred experience in unit dose and IV admixture.
This is a PRN position for a hospital inpatient pharmacist.
This position is an Essential position at the facility to ensure efficient operations and patient care. Employees hired into an Essential position are expected to report to work for their scheduled shifts regardless of the environmental weather and road conditions that may exist.
The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing medications, drugs and other pharmaceuticals as needed for appropriate patient care in accordance with professional standards of practice. Additionally, the Staff Pharmacist will assist the Director of Pharmacy with various Joint Commission, PI, DUE/MUE and CQI projects as assigned. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for inpatient and outpatient medication and device education when appropriate.
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
The Staff Pharmacist must have a minimum of one year of hospital experience, or equivalent as determined by the Director of Pharmacy. One year experience in unit dose and IV admixture is preferred.
Current Tennessee Pharmacy License
Current Tennessee Controlled Substance Qualification Endorsement
The position requires sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting and lifting. The Pharmacist must be able to see with corrective eye wear. The Pharmacist must be able to ear clearly with assistance. The Pharmacist may be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases and may be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances. The Pharmacist must be able to handle emergency or crisis situations. The Pharmacist may be occasionally subject to irregular hours. The Pharmacist may be required to wear protective equipment as necessary.
