Job summary

Pharmacy1st Health is building clinical infrastructure for rural America by transforming independent pharmacies into integrated care hubs. This PRN Pharmacist role offers leadership opportunities and flexible hours to serve underserved communities.

You will oversee operations, ensure regulatory compliance, provide patient counseling, manage dispensing, and collaborate with physicians to optimize outcomes while supporting organizational growth and quality programs.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state's Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of 1 year of community or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmacy regulations and insurance billing.
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including inventory and workflow.
  • Provide exceptional patient care through accurate dispensing, counselling, and medication management.
  • Implement quality assurance, safety, and performance improvement programs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, family nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Support business growth through effective management of pharmacy services, including immunizations and clinical programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for audits, inspections, and internal reporting.
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates efficiently, profitably, and in line with company goals.

Our model combines primary care, pharmacy services, and chronic disease management under one roof, creating a new, lower-cost site of care for underserved communities.

We operate across multiple states and are rapidly expanding a network of rural clinics co-located with pharmacies. Our goal is to deliver scalable, high-quality care while improving access, outcomes, and cost efficiency.

We are seeking a PRN Pharmacistwho's is ready to lead with clinical excellence and a deep commitment to serving rural communities. This role is ideal for a Pharmacist who wants additional work hours to practice at the top of their license, shape care delivery, and play a meaningful leadership role in a growing, mission-driven organization.
