Job summary

Delphi Technologies in Piedmont, South Carolina is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to support our veteran-focused care team with safe, accurate dispensing and medication management, while upholding high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

The pharmacist will verify orders, perform final product checks, review patient profiles for drug interactions and allergies, oversee IV therapy preparation, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to optimize therapy and ensure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current, active pharmacist license in the state where the facility is located.
  • Experience with medication order verification and final product verification required.
  • IV therapy and sterile compounding experience preferred.
  • Hospital, long-term care, or institutional pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Position Summary

The PRN Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications while promoting optimal patient outcomes. This position provides pharmacist coverage as needed and plays a critical role in product verification, medication order review, and clinical pharmacy services.

  • Perform medication order verification for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with regulations and facility policies.
  • Conduct final product verification to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing.
  • Review patient medication profiles for potential drug interactions, allergies, and therapeutic concerns.
  • Prepare, verify, and oversee IV therapy medications in accordance with established standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
  • Provide drug information and clinical consultation to healthcare staff.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and facility regulations.
  • Support medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
