Job summary

Southern Pharmacy Services, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, invites a Pharmacist to join our Pink Hill, North Carolina team on a part-time, on-site basis. You will ensure accurate dispensing, review orders, verify safety, and uphold board regulations in a fast-paced setting.

Minimum qualifications include a PharmD or B.Pharm with an active state license and 1+ years of related experience. Strong attention to detail, independence, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD is required.
  • State Pharmacist License is required without restrictions.
  • Experience with pharmacy operations and patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare medications for dispensing and proper packaging.
  • Review orders and cycle-fill medications for accuracy.
  • Verify legality and feasibility of dispensing per patient data.
  • Interpret prescriptions with professional judgment for safety.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State Board regulations.
  • Assist with compounding guidelines and transfer prescriptions as needed.
  • Answer questions from patients, doctors, and nurses.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed.
  • Oversee technicians and provide feedback to supervisor.
  • Log medication errors and take corrective actions.
